No one knows what kind of business you're talking about.

Ask about their experience. A lot of companies may not be able to share specifics of their clients, but should give you a general idea of what their capabilities are. Let them know what you're looking to achieve – ROI, ROAS, CPA and let them show you what they think would be the best strategy.

I also think it's important that the agency has good relationships with the engines. They may be able to get things done faster and have more pull if there is already an existing relationship.

When you begin talking to agencies, let them do most of the talking. Ask questions if there's anything you don't understand. You don't want an agency who is not willing to answer your questions. Also ask what services they offer – do they just do paid search or do they offer organic search optimization? Will they write copy for you? How often is reporting done – what kind of info will you find in the reports? What is the typical timeline for a campaign launch?

You need to pay to advertise on Yahoo's search marketing platform, but all keyword research should be free. I tend to use Google's research tools since they're some of the best, and they're free.

    Hope that helps.

advertising on google and yahoo search engine would be fine, but if you are new about them, you will lose some money at the beginning, of course they are better than other advertising networks, only if you know much more about internet marketing, you can try other advertising network
    full page advertising http://www.youyield.com
    in text advertising http://www.becontext.com
    pop under/up advertising http://www.infinityads.com
compare to google and yahoo cost, they are cheaper, so you can start to spend little money on them, when you are good about advertising skill such as targeted keywords , cheap keywords, conversion rate. then go for google or yahoo

  • Patrick R Says:

That would be because your page rank is not hight enough, which means you have not marketed your website enough.

If you are in any forums, include your website in your signature section.

    Digg yourself

Trade links with other, larger sites

But first you need a webpage

And even then, how often do you click on random links?

  • Kaloni Says:

SEO & SEM, yes it is the same thing… sponsored search is, like some ads, for example, if you do some search on search engine with some keyword, the first listed search is the sponsored search because the site owner pays to get listed on the first search.

  • WebmasterD Says:

It should be close to instantaneous. There may be replication delays as your listings' status is updated across Yahoo servers, but this generally amounts to no more than 5-10 minutes, often much less. On rare occasions, the delay can extend to 45-60 minutes, though.

    No.

Yahoo though has a site called Yahoo for Good http://forgood.yahoo.com/good_causes/index.html which details the company's support to non profits and causes.

Interestingly, none of these support activities are for using their search marketing for free
